Kanye West Denies Porn Rumor
Kanye West has launched a scathing attack on fans who spread fake rumors about him on the internet - urging web users to stop trying to "destroy" him.
The Stronger hit-maker was recently at the center of bizarre internet gossip, with several websites claiming he had spoken about possibly making a porn movie. The rumor turned out to be fake, and West is furious.
He writes on his official blog, "Why won’t you let me be great ! I read some s**t claiming I said I’m down to do porn and some bisexual porn ! I just gave the performance of my lifetime for our new president ... Then I flew to Paris and they debuted my new shoes that I designed with Louie (sic) Vuitton which was a dream come true. Please I beg you, give me a break !"
And West is especially angry, because his is convinced that the ugly rumors have overshadowed his recent performance at President Barack Obama’s inauguration. He adds, "That’s in poor taste ! That undermines what my contribution to that event (Obama’s inauguration) was and slaps everybody who felt uplifted by that performance in the face !"
Jay-Z Works on New Album Blueprint 3
Jay-Z has warned fans they may have a long wait to hear his highly anticipated forthcoming album The Blueprint 3.
The 99 Problems hit-maker began work on the record last year and was widely expected to have released it by the start of this year. But Jay-Z is in no hurry to release the follow up to 2007’s acclaimed American Gangster LP, and refuses to put a timeframe on its completion.
He tells MTV, "For me, the process of making an album is difficult with so many things going on. And me, I wanna make it beyond and above. I’m gonna take my time with it. I don’t have any quotas, and that’s a good thing. It may be too freeing. It’s a good thing and a bad thing. You know, I think I need some restrictions. Cause if I had restrictions, I would have done it in three weeks. I would have made what I believe to be a great piece of art."
Lil’ Wayne Rock album, Rebirth, gets release date
Lil Wayne always said he was a rock star. Now his prophecy will be fulfilled when he releases his first rock album Rebirth on April 7.
Rebirth is not Tha Carter IV that fans have been awaiting since Weezy dropped his multi-platinum LP Tha Carter III last year. Instead, it’s an entirely rock album that may showcase his newly-honed guitar skills.
The album’s first single is called “Prom Queen” and will debut online after a live MySpace.com stream of his concert in San Diego, Calif., on January 27.
The New Orleans MC calls the album a “birth of a new beginning.” “This is something brand new, so we don’t want it to be some experimental thing, ’cause some people are not gonna like this,” he told MTV News.
Wayne is not the first rapper in recent memory to release a non-hip-hop album. Kanye West strayed from the norm with 2008’s 808s & Heartbreak, which debuted at No. 1 and spawned the hit singles “Love Lockdown” and “Heartless.”
